Nail trimming - You may notice that your dog's nails are getting too long and are accidently scratching you, and the nail clicks on the floor are getting louder. Long nails can cause pain and injury to your dog. Proper trimming with a nail clipper and a nail grinder is necessary.

Teeth brushing - Tooth brushing with pet-safe enzymatic toothpaste is the best for your dog's dental health. We use a tasty chicken flavor Petrodex Enzymatic Toothpaste. Regular brushing will reduce the tartar and plaque build up.

Ear cleaning - All dogs should have their ears cleaned from time to time. Removal of hair in the ears will keep the ear canal clear and tidy.

Skin and coat analysis - An overall analysis will be performed with a dog blower to open up the hair to see the condition of the skin and coat. The skin condition will determine the type of shampoo.

Pre-bath brush and blowout - For the best results, a brushing before the bath prevents matts from tightening further. Plus, the removal of most of the undercoat (if any) and deshedding using a high-velocity dryer helps force out any loose hair and undercoat.

Deep cleaning bath - The type of shampoo depends on your dog's skin type ranges from normal, oatmeal, anti-itch oatmeal, medicated, and tearless. Plus, a leave-in light spray is used for longer lasting softness.

Anal gland expression - Anal glands carry some smelly fluid and occasionally should to be emptied. Sometimes the sacs fill with fluid and your dog needs some help to release the fluid.

Blowout to dry - A blowout is the best way for straightening the hair for a smooth brushout, desheddingv(if any) and removal of most of the undercoat.

Brushing, combing - Brushing can and should be a pleasant experience for your pet as the gentle stroking feels good on your pet's skin. Some extra brushing may be necessary to remove the shedding, excess undercoat, and the mats. This may require "carding" techniques in the breeds that have a double-coat that consists of guard hair and undercoat. Undercoat is the short, soft, dense hair that supports the outer coat or guard hair. "Carding" is the technique of removing undercoat with the use of a stripping knife or shedding rake. Undercoat has its purpose; however, when it becomes excessive it can cause skin and coat issues. Keeping the undercoat well groomed by using a brush and or carding techniques is beneficial for the health of your pet.

Customized styling and grooming - Janice will customize your pet’s hairstyle to suit individual preferences and lifestyles and make sure your dog leaves looking and smelling great and feeling happy.
